"The Gathering" - a day for the business of writing

June 12, 2010 - Glenwood Springs

A one-day retreat where writers gather up and bring work from files and drawers, plan chapbooks or books and publication targets, begin revision, and delve into the business of writing. Revision of poetry often leads to deeper imagery, and in fiction or memoir, the revisiting of the story's shape, character and outcome. The retreat includes a lecture and discussion on resources and publication, regionally and nationally, a writing session on revision, time to meet with other writers, and an individual conference on your work.
Fabulous breakfast and lunch cuisine provided by writer Marilee Rippy; retreat held at her beautiful home on a creek in Glenwood Springs. Limited to 10. $100.
